About NorPilot

Made in the North. Built to help visitors prepare for it.

NorPilot was created in Tromsø for people travelling by road across Northern Norway, Northern Sweden and Northern Finland.

We help people prepare calmly before they drive.

  • Real roads
  • Real Arctic context
  • More confidence

Why NorPilot exists

Many visitors arrive in the North with years of driving experience — but little experience of Arctic roads.

Darkness, ice, sudden weather changes, long distances, wildlife, narrow roads and fatigue can make an ordinary road trip feel very different.

NorPilot exists to make that first encounter calmer: understand what may be different, prepare before you drive, and enjoy the North with more confidence.

From Tromsø, Northern Norway

NorPilot grew from a simple idea: the first time you experience Arctic roads should not be the first time you hear what to expect.

The project is built in Tromsø, shaped by everyday Northern road conditions, local travel patterns and the situations visitors commonly meet here.

Built for the Nordic North

NorPilot currently focuses on Northern Norway, Northern Sweden and Northern Finland — regions connected by extraordinary roads, long distances and rapidly changing conditions.

  • Bridges
  • Tunnels
  • Ferries
  • Road-condition sources
